Audio Origami PU7 Tonearm, 9" Silver or black finish

Anyone familiar with the splendid old Syrinx Tonearm will recognise its DNA in the Audio Origami PU7.  Thankfully, the PU7 has none of the flaws and foibles of the PU7 design, it is far more than merely a reworked PU3, a great deal of careful thought has gone into this arm’s design and execution, reflected in the impeccable fit and finish, and the painstaking, perhaps even obsessive, attention to detail and quality.

It is undoubtedly a thing of great beauty, the elegant simplicity of line combining to produce a tonearm which easily justifies its cost in appearance alone! When you factor in the three man weeks it takes to complete an arm, the asking price starts to look like a bargain. When you hear it, any remaining doubts evaporate.

Audio Origami will make the PU7 tonearm to any specification you care to ask for (prices quoted per specification order) but thankfully the standard range options are perfect for top flight sound quality and will grace any high end turntable - like the Planalogue Prelude, to offer a superlative sound.

The PU7 tonearm offers a sense of purposeful control and authority, without any suggestion that the control is achieved by constraint.  The tonal colours in all musical genres are clearly heard, the arm offers subtlty of touch and true timing, be it for solo voice or full orchestra, it has no weakness and will get the best out of your vinyl for sure.

The standard fixing options available are Rega or Linn mounting collars (others on request).  The PU7 is height adjustable, azimuth adjustable as well.

There are two standard tonearm cable options, the arms are hard wired through from the cartridge pins to the RCA connectors, your choice is either to use Cardas or Van Den Hul wire.  On balance our choice would be Cardas, it being perhaps more even-handed across the frequency ranges, the VanDen Hul a tad brighter in presentation, but its your choice.

A 12" arm option costs £300.00p more than the standard 9" arm.

If you require a detachable tonearm cable, an SME 5 pin socket is fitted to the tonearm pillar and a straight or 90 degree connecting plug can be supplied to the lead-out cable. This costs £160.00p.

If you purchase the PU7 tonearm with a turntable from us, we will fit it free of charge (and fit your cartridge as well). If you have a turntable already, ask us to quote you for fitting the arm, if you feel its beyond you to fit and adjust it yourself.
